According to Patrick Paris, the side-table l’Obstacle d’Appartement is one of his most successful designs in his search for the superlative level of austerity. Minimalism in its purest form in which concrete and steel merge perfectly into a completely levelled geometry. A design that leaves you guessing at the function of the object. But while this name emphasises an apparent lack of functionality, it is actually the opposite, as a side-table or bedside table, and this in every interior.
